Today we were blessed with nice weather here in the afternoon. It was dry (for a change), about 21dg C and quite windy but not too windy. I was tired after getting home from work but as this might be the only day with dry weather this week I decided to go for a ride anyway. As always the hardest part is to get out the door and after the first 10Km I was very happy that I did go for the ride as it was very nice to get out on the bike again.

I wasn’t pushing too hard as my legs was sore from running yesterday and this is only my third ride after a long break. Even so I did get a fair average speed of 29.6Km/h.

My second ride after the long break from bicycling. It’s nice to be out again but I feel that I lost quite some speed compared to the shape I was in before the break….

All in all a nice ride and with an average speed of 29.2Km/h I really can’t complain.

Was out on my first “real” bike ride after the long break. Boy am I out of shape !!! Ok, it was quite windy but I can’t remember it being this hard riding the 30Km… Well got an average speed of 28.4Km/h and I think it’s not that bad considering that it’s 4 weeks since I did the full route.

Ok after almost 4 weeks without riding the bicycle due to rainy weather I finally got a chance for a ride.

As I havn’t driven the bike for a long time I decided to just roll nice and easy. To get even more out of the ride and the nice weather I took my camera with me. The plan was to take some pictures along my 30Km route so you can see why I love riding this route. Unfortunately the nice weather didn’t hold for long. Actually the sun disappeared more or less as I got outside and after 15Km of riding big black clouds were coming way too close so I did a shortcut home before the rain started.

So here are some pictures from the first 15Km of my 30Km route. I wished the sun had been out as pictures always look greater with sun but I hope you can get an idea of how pretty the nature is. There are more pictures here if you’re interested.

Again out on my 30Km route. Now I’m starting to get familiar with the detour from the 26Km route, knowing where to turn without counting the turns etc. I still think it’s a very nice route and the narrow roads are just fun now.
Speed was very good too, as my average speed over the total of 30.7Km was 30.8Km/h !
